For Sellers – How It Works

  • Wait for approval
    • We’re looking for surfpreneurs with unique products that are inspired by stoke for the surf and beach life. Let us know what types of products you are going to sell, the website you currently sell from if applicable, and we’ll get back to you asap! We approve every request manually as we want to showcase the best and most unique products here.

    • Please ensure that all terms/conditions, return/exchange policy, shipping details are clearly described in the shipping section, seller section, and even upfront on the actual product listing if there is a longer than 1 week typical wait time for any item, we want to provide complete transparency to all shoppers so everything is clear up front before purchase
  • Await for your product to be approved
    • Products will be approved that contain all the needed information and have photos that clearly show the product being promoted. We don’t accept used items, as there are great online market places for that type of product such as Ebay.com, Poshmark.com, and Craiglistst, etc.
    • No need for product approval once you have been a seller for a given time period and we’ve become familiar with your style and products being posted.
  • Sell
    • No product listing fee
    • Unlimited products (within reason) – we do max out at a certain point so if you upload hundreds of products and make no sales, we will need to chat – ha
    • 10% commission on sales – covers costs of hosting site the and general site promotion
    • Commission is not taken on shipping or tax costs, sellers are responsible for collecting their own tax if applicable. If coupons are applied, commission is for amount, less coupon discount. Your sales less our commission is automatically sent to you via our integration with Stripe payments. Standard payment processing/credit card fees also apply.
    • Extra Promotion – If you want us to provide advertising support specifically for just your shop or specific products, we can do that as a part of our regular monthly advertising efforts and will increase our commission that month to an agreed upon amount to cover the additional advertising support. We can also put together a custom package just for you as well, ask us!
    • We also have a vacation mode enabled to allow you to notify your customers when you will not be available to fulfill orders and when you will be back to do so
    • Added Value – As a shop owner in our community, we regularly feature our sellers products on all our social media and even write blog articles for products that we really think would benefit from more details and back story
  • After the sale
    • You are notified via e-mail after every sale is made and can also log into the dashboard at any time to monitor product sales
    • After a product is sold and shipped out, sellers confirm that with the dashboard so we know that the shopper should be expecting the product and then also updated when it has been delivered
    • Any returns/exchanges is dealt with directly between seller and shopper
